OWNERS MANUAL
Please take the time to read your owner's manual. This booklet provides valuable information on all aspects of your new equipment. Topics include proper operation, warranty guidelines, maintenance intervals and safety tips.

WARRANTY
Your machine comes with a manufacturer’s warranty that protects you from manufacturer’s defects and workmanship. This warranty is only valid for a specific time period. Please read and familiarize yourself with the terms and length of the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranties do not cover fuel related issues. Fuel is introduced by the purchaser and is not a manufacturer’s defect.

1. Use fuel stabilizer at all times (use only stabilizer made for ethanol fuels - E10)

2. Use 89 or higher octane fuel

3. Keep fuel tanks full and sealed

4. Start your machine every month for 10 to 15 minutes to keep fresh fuel
running into the carburetor and refill tank with fresh fuel

5. Store your gasoline in a clean, plastic, sealed container approved for fuel
storage. Close the vent (if equipped) when not in use.

6. Only keep on hand enough fuel to last 1 to 2 months.

FUEL USAGE
Fuels of today are considered CLEAN FUELS (E10 gasoline). Clean fuels have a far shorter shelf life than fuels from the past. The shelf life can range from 1 to 3 months untreated. E10 gas contains 10% ethanol which will absorb moisture, separate from the gas and degrade rubber fuel lines and plastic components in the fuel system.

AVOIDING FUEL RELATED PROBLEMS
Your equipment, including the fuel system, is designed and manufactured to precise specifications to ensure years of trouble free operation. However, the properties of gasoline can quickly lead to stale fuel, causing starting or running problems and in some cases, damage to the fuel system if precautions are not followed. The good news is most fuel related problems can be avoided by following a few simple steps.

STORING YOUR MACHINE

1. Run engine until empty of E10 gas

2. Add a non-ethanol fuel such as STIHL Moto Mix or SEF. Small Engine Fuel

3. Run machine for 5 to 10 minutes to cycle fuel through engine
